An exciting opportunity exists for Psychiatrists interested in working in an Acute Psychiatry Department embedded in the Emergency Department of the hospital.  

About the position: 

• Part-time and Full-time options
• 26 Beds in the Department
• Brand new Psychiatry Unit
• Rotating and flexible scheduling
• No call
• Call is available if interested in additional compensation
• Several shifts: 8 am-3 pm; 3 pm-10 pm; 8 pm-2 am: 2 am-8 am
• Weekend Shifts available for those with interest: 8 am - 6 pm
• Teaching and research opportunities are also available for those with interest

Qualified applicants may apply for a faculty appointment at HMS in Psychiatry at the rank of Instructor or above

Who we are seeking: 

• Candidates with interest in Acute Psychiatry Service, Consultation-Liaison Service (serving medical inpatients), or the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Massachusetts medical license
• Candidates should be board certified/eligible in Psychiatry
• Board certification or fellowship training in relevant subspecialties will also be considered
