A large and reputable hospital system with 7 hospitals located in Eastern New York and Southwest Connecticut has an opening for a Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant to join their team in Poughkeepsie, New York. They have a solid team of Physician Assistants with very little turnover and an excellent lead PA.

Job Details

• Join 3 cardiothoracic surgeons and six cardiothoracic physician assistants
• The physician assistants provide 24/7 coverage, including OR assist, inpatient consults, pre and post-op rounding, and outpatient
• Case volume includes traditional open heart, CABG, valve, robotics, MIS, and TAVR
• 5 10-hour shifts per week
• Full-time variable schedule including days/overnights/weekends/holidays
• 2 years of experience as a Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant preferred but will consider a fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic PA just out of training
• Hospital is a 350 bed, level II trauma center that overlooks the Hudson River
