Child Abuse Pediatrician: Clinical practice + academics/research in St Louis MO

A free-standing children’s hospital in St. Louis, MO is adding a dedicated BC/BE Child Abuse Pediatrician to their Child Protection Team. This is a clinical position at a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and a faculty appointment with a School of Medicine.

Highlights

• Joining an established child abuse team with 1 full-time Child Abuse Pediatrician, 1 Pediatric NP, 3 Social Workers, and 5 Nurses
• Inpatient and outpatient clinical consultation with shared call coverage
• Education of medical students, residents, fellows, and community partners as well as mentoring providers in Missouri’s SAFECARE network
• Provide evaluations and medical case management to children entering the foster care system
• Expert testimony and collaboration with law enforcement, children’s services, and other community agencies
• Ample opportunities for personal academic growth and development, new program development, community service, and clinical research
