• 50-year history of caring for the underserved communities in the Providence area
• 9 neighborhood-based primary care patient-centered medical homes with over 120 providers treating 60,000 patients
• OBGYNs perform complete ambulatory obstetric and gynecological care for health center patients and serve as consultants and resources to Nurse Practitioners, Midwives, Nurses, and Reproductive Health Counselors
• OBGYNs admit and care for patients at a 137-bed teaching hospital and perform surgery on health center patients at the Hospital when medically indicated. Such procedures include tubal ligations, c-sections, gynecological OBGYNs attend and take call for the Hospital Clinics, Emergency Room, or floors in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and perform deliveries and other OB/GYN services, for hospital patients
• Participate in health maintenance and cancer screening activities, Performance Improvement, Risk Management, and Peer Review activities at PCHC. This includes medical audits and chart reviews
