Transplant Nephrology with Premier Academic Facility in New Hampshire

A premier academic medical center in New Hampshire is adding a Transplant Nephrologist with expertise in renal transplantation and general nephrology. Join the Section of Solid Organ Transplantation within the Department of Surgery at a highly regarded Medical Center that is seeking a second Board Certified/Board Eligible Transplant Nephrologist with expertise in renal transplantation as well as general nephrology.

Candidate Qualifications

• Interested candidates must be UNOS-certified or certifiable
• A proven track record as either a clinical scholar and/or scientist is desirable
• Candidates must have the ability to independently manage all kidney transplant patients and living donors through all phases of transplantation
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience and would be hired with the goal of succession into the Medical Director role.

• Responsibilities include potential recipient and donor candidate medical evaluations, Pre-transplant, waitlist, and donor medical reviews and management, Long term post-transplant care and immunosuppression monitoring,
• Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings and Quality Assurance and Performance Committees
• Attend and participate in the evaluation of potential donors/recipients as well as established transplant recipients at various satellite clinics and attend regional and national transplant meetings
• Provide educational sessions for staff, residents, and fellows as well as referring physicians
• Daily inpatient rounding
• Shared evenings and weekends for medical transplant-related problems
• Provide leadership, training, and education for medical students, surgical and medical residents, and nephrology fellows
