Emergency Medicine Faculty Position in Southern California - UCLA Affiliate

Southern California-based hospital is in search of an enthusiastic, academically minded, Emergency Medicine trained physician who is interested in a faculty position in its Emergency Medicine Residency Program. The residency program maintains full accreditation by the RRC/ACGME and is affiliated with UCLA.

Candidate Requirements:

• Candidates must be residency-trained
• Strong interest in academic emergency medicine
• 14, 9-hour shifts per month required
• Physicians are allowed to moonlight
• Additional shifts are available for extra compensation

Medical Overview:

• Hospital trains over 200 medical students, residents, and fellows with graduate medical education programs in the specialties of Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, and Psychiatry as well as Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry.
• The hospital is the only designated level II trauma center for Kern County and also serves as a tertiary medical center.
• The emergency department cares for approximately 49,000 patients a year and is an accredited stroke center.
• The emergency medicine residency is affiliated with UCLA and has been in operation since 1976.
• 28 residents involved in a four-year (PGY1-PGY4) curriculum.
