Medical Director of Hospitalist Medicine - Western Massachusetts

Join an affiliate of Mass General Brigham Hospital and lead a team of talented hospitalists. Compliment approximately 74 physicians and 37 advanced practice clinicians provide care at 11 locations. 

About the position: 

• Report Directly to the Chief Medical Officer
• Graduate of an accredited internal medicine, family medicine, or internal medicine-pediatrics residency training program, and current board certification or board eligibility by the appropriate governing body (ABIM or ABFM). Responsible for managing and leading all aspects of care delivery and consultation related to adult and pediatric inpatient services 
• Must be able to interact appropriately with staff, support services, and patients effectively
• Attend Hospital System-wide Quality & Safety Committee meetings
• Supportive leadership and administrative infrastructure and a direct line to Mass General Brigham services integration
• FTE Split between administrative and clinical time
• Set annual quality goals

• A medical staff of approximately 500 active members (physicians and advanced practice clinicians)
• 140-bed hospital
• Annually admits 8600 patients per year
